		<description>Yeah, the firewall thing would really be my only good suggestion.  Make sure to turn off the virtual PC&#039;s firewall as well.  Other than that, I think the link in the post will be your best bet.  Good luck!</description>

I also work at a software company and am encountering the same situation: I am running SQL 2005 on host PC (Vista Ultimate) and would like for an application on my guest VPC(XP SP2) to access SQL on the host. Using your suggestions, however, have not worked. Is there something else that is not included here? I have turned FW off in Vista for temporary testing.</description>
