Videos of the first surface computing prototypes aimed at consumers have been popping up on the web today, and I’m absolutely amazed at what they’re doing already. This site has a video that shows off some impressive interaction with a digital camera.

To me it looks like they did a good job with the software but not with the hardware. You can do the same things with photos and maps on the iPhone and it’s an order of magnitude cheaper ($500 for the iPhone vs $5,000-$10,000 for one of Microsoft’s devices)
