Users with the Application Administration permission see a “Log in As” button when editing users.
This allows the administrator to view everything in Spider Impact as that user would see it. This helps with troubleshooting permissions as well as setting up bookmarks and alerts for other users. All actions are recorded in the audit logs as the administrator. Because application administration permissions are required, there is no potential for escalation of permissions because the administrator already has full application permissions.
As the administrator navigates the software, they see a bar on top that reminds them of who they are logged in as, and they’re able to click a link to log out.
