We are seeking a Software Developer (100% remote) to join our team focused on moving, shaping, joining, and presenting data for the U.S. Army.
You must have an active DoD SECRET clearance and Security+ certification.
Responsibilities:
Data never comes in a standard format across the board; it needs to be moved from one system to another, and it needs to be shaped and pruned. Scripts need to be run to extract or remove pertinent fields, delimited files need to be shaped into JSON (or vice versa), databases need to be queried, and data sets must be properly managed and documented.
As a Software Developer for Spider Strategies, you will primarily support the U.S. Army’s G-9 office and their Sexual Harassment & Assault Reporting and Prevention (SHARP) office, contributing to the assessment and reduction of sexual assault and sexual harassment incidents across the Army.
Spider Strategies provides the dashboarding and data management solution used by the Army to track numerous data sets. The end goal is to shape data for ingesting into the Spider Impact application so that reports and dashboards can be prepared to present to senior leadership on a recurring basis.
The ideal candidate for this position is highly organized with a drive and passion for software development. We are seeking the kind of individual who likes to work on a diverse set of problems, where each day brings a fresh challenge. Although experience with the specific technologies below will be helpful, being able to learn new technologies quickly is more important.
Location:
This is a full-time remote position.
Requirements:
- Active U.S. government SECRET clearance or higher
- CompTIA Security+ Certification (Your CompTIA certificate number will be requested and verified)
Preferred Skills/Technologies:
- Java or Python
